"I love tiny pamphlets and very short chapbooks. They represent an opportunity for poets that are new to print to publish without the pressure of putting together enough material for a full-length book, and for more established writers they’re a chance to try things or to get work out more quickly. For the reader, they can be just enough to give you a taste of what’s going on, and maybe develop an appetite for more from a poet."  Billy Mills - Elliptical Movements

Established in 2010 the Red Ceilings Press has now published over 60 eBook titles and 90 limited edition A6 (postcard sized) chapbooks. The back catalogue of our eBooks are now available to download for free.

At present we are focusing solely on our lovely little pocket sized chapbooks and are looking for small collections, experiments, sequences, off shoots and words that makes us smile. If you have something you think might interest us then please read our submission guidelines below.

We are open to submissions from 1 March - 1 October 2022

We hope that you are familiar enough wth our work to have a sense of whether your style of writing fits and we advise you to check one or two of our chapbook titles over before submitting your work. Our books are in a small format so please consider this when sending poems of longer line length as it probably won't work.

Authors should preferably have a previous publication history. So, please mention where your work has appeared in your submission email and also provide a brief biography. If accepted we will ask you to take a minimum of 20 copies of the book at half price to help us to continue publishing.

Send your submissions to theredceilings@gmail.com in either doc or pdf format with SUBMISSION in the subject line. We try to respond to submissions within a month of receiving them. Please note that we only publish UK resident authors at present.
